Art Herstory - Female perspectives in the European Parliament’s Contemporary Art Collection

Art Herstory

Starting in October’s European gender week, 2022, and running until the following Women's Day on March 8th 2023 - “Art Herstory: Female perspectives in the European Parliament’s Contemporary Art Collection” aims to share the collection’s new trajectory to the wider public and position the European Parliament’s curatorial policy within the landscape of international cultural institutions.

The exhibition offers visibility to the female artists entering and already present in the collection, and contextualises the European Parliament’s curatorial decisions through a documented brochure with various resources, with the aim to take part in the greater discussion around women’s contributions to the fields of Art and Culture and generate interest for the Collection as a whole.

The exhibition will take place in the Parlamentarium, The European Parliament’s Visitors Centre in Brussels, which is accessible upon registration
